CAMP STAFF
From Midlothian, VA, Alex has been involved in gymnastics for nearly 20 years and won numerous gymnastics championships. While competing for the Florida Gators, Alex broke the AA record with a 39.875. She was the 2017 NCAA All-Around and Uneven Bars Champion, 2018 NCAA Vault Champion, 2015 NCAA Team Champion, and a six-time SEC champion.
Before college, Alex was the 2013 Nastia Liukin Cup Champion, and 2011 and 2012 Junior Olympic Champion.

Cheryl
Johnson
Camp Director
​Cheryl has been involved in gymnastics for over 30 years. She is the owner of VA Techniques Gymnastics and has been coaching all team levels for more than 15 years. She was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, competing through USAG level 9. She competed high school gymnastics and was the captain of the Virginia Tech club team. She has a B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise and a M.S. in Health Promotion from Virginia Tech.
Sorin
Bechir
Sorin has 20 years of coaching experience at the National Training Center in Constanta, Romania. His club has produced World Champion and Olympic medalists including Simona Amanar, Dana Sofronie, and Andreea Munteanu. Currentl Sorin coaches gymnasts from Level 9 to elite. He holds a bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a minor in Artistic Gymnastics Coaching.

Call
Eric has been coaching for 10 years in NOVA & VA Beach. He currently coaches levels 7-9 at GForce in Ashburn, VA. Eric was a Nationally ranked level 10 vault and floor specialist.

Nancy has been coaching competitive gymnastics for 28 years. She was also a competitive gymnast for 12 years and a gymnastics judge for 15 years. Nancy currently coaches levels 8-10 at G-Force Gymnastics.

Jones
Kristen "Osh" Jones: Osh is the program director at Flip Fest Camp in Knoxville, TN. She has been coaching levels 3-10 for 9 years. She was a level 10 National Qualifier and competed at University of Kentucky on full scholarship for gymnastics.

Josh has been involved in gymnastics for six years. He has coached level 3-9 and Xcel for 4 years. He currently coaches at Chalkettes at the Harris YMCA in NC.

Kelly Ann Rayle has been a level 10 rated judge for over years. As a gym owner, she has coached levels 4 through 10 for more than 30 years.

Smirnov
Vladimir is the owner of Shooting Stars Gymnastics in Hickory, North Carolina. He is an elite coach and has been coaching for more than 22 year.
Chase
Walker
Chase competed for 12 years at Excalibur Gymnastics through level 10. She has coached all levels of gymnastics. Chase is a senior at Eastern Michigan University on a full scholarship and is captain of the swim team.

Yarros

Donny as coached gymnastics for 23 years from preschool to elite gymnastics. He has trained several National Champions and helped create a junior international elite athlete.

Devonta Brown: Devonta has been coaching gymnastics for 10 years and coaches levels 7-10 at Techniques. He was a graduate assistant and head bar coach at Lindenwood College and coached at Flip Fest Camp for six summers. He was an event specialist at Springfield College on vault and floor.

Jacob has been coaching for eight years up through level 7. He currently coaches level 4 and Xcel Platinum & Diamond at Techniques.

Haynes
Ashley has been involved with gymnastics for 24 years and has coached levels 3-6 for four years. She competed through level 7 and was a competitive cheerleader in high school. She has her master's degree in Physical Therapy.

Amanda has been involved with gymnastics for more than 20 years. She competed as a level 10 gymnast at World Class Gymnastics and was a national qualifier. She has been coaching all levels for 12 years.

Jones
Crystal has coached level 3-6 gymnastics for 13 years. She was a competitive high school gymnast. She has her BS in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton.

Tina has coached recreational through level 9 gymnastics for over 25 years. She is a member of USAG and NAWCJ and currently holds a level 10 judge rating.

Geoffrey has been involved with tumbling and cheerleading for 6 years as a coach and athlete. He was a competitive cheerleader for Virginia Tech and holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics.

Rachel has been involved with gymnastics for 15 years, up through level 9 at VA Techniques. She has coached pre-team, level 3 and 4 for 5 years.

Vickie has 14 years of gymnastics experience and 7 years of gymnastics experience. She is currently pursuing a psychology degree at Virginia Tech.
