Our day camp is open to gymnasts ages 6 to 18, training levels 3 through 10 and Xcel Gold through Diamond. Athletes will be trained on all apparatus, dance, running, strength, and conditioning. Girls will be grouped by skill level and work on drills and techniques to prepare them for the 2021-2022 competition season!

Cost of the full day camp is $289 and includes all meals, a camp t-shirt, and a camp photo.  A $75 deposit should be paid with the registration to reserve your spot. Final camp payment is due on or before July 15. We will not give refunds to anyone that withdraws any time after camp begins. We will not give discounts to campers that arrive late or depart early. All campers must be covered by their own insurance. If camp is cancelled because of COVID-19 or government mandate, all funds will be refunded.

Gerson has been coaching gymnastics for 27 years, 16 of them in the USA.
Coached at the well known Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta for 13 years and has been serving at the Georgia Board of Gymnastics for 5 years.

While coaching in Guatemala: Part of the National Gymnastics Federation and National Team staff for Guatemala, Central American and Central American and Caribbean Games.

In the U.S.: Level 5-8 Head coach. Multiple Individual and Team at State and Regional Championships as well as individual qualifiers to Easterns and Nationals.
Had the opportunity to coach former US National Team Member Megan Skaggs.

Visiting Coach

Kristen "Osh" Jones:  Osh is the program director at Flip Fest Camp in Knoxville, TN.  She has been coaching levels 3-10 for 9 years.  She was a level 10 National Qualifier and competed at University of Kentucky on full scholarship for gymnastics.


Camp Director

Cheryl has been involved in gymnastics for over 30 years. She is the owner of VA Techniques Gymnastics and has been coaching all team levels for more than 15 years.  She was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, competing through USAG level 9. She competed high school gymnastics and was the captain of the Virginia Tech club team. She has a B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise and a M.S. in Health Promotion from Virginia Tech.


Visiting Coach

Tish is the owner of Capital Gymnastics National Team Training Center in Burke, VA. She coaches Level 8 through Elite.



Techniques Coach

Yong is a former Chinese National gymnast and worked in Cirque du Soleil for three years. He has coached levels 5-10 and Elite Men's and Women's Gymnastics for more than 20 years.

Techniques Team

Patrick is a former level 10 gymnast and University of Louisville cheerleader. He has coached JO girls, boys, and Xcel gymnastics for 8 years at clubs in Kentucky and is certified men’s judge. Patrick also has a BS in Business Administration in Computer Information Systems and is pursuing a certification in personal training.


Techniques Coach

Crystal has been coaching gymnastics for 14 years with developmental athletes and levels 3-7. She was a competitive high school gymnast. She has her BS in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton. She is USAG safety certified and is a USAG professional member.


Techniques Coach

Morgan has been involved with gymnastics for 18 years and has coached for over 6 years. She was a competitive gymnast at Techniques through level 7. Morgan has a degree in Human Development and Psychology from VA Tech. She is safety certified and a USAG professional member.



VA Techniques training center offers 16,000 square feet filled with new equipment. Vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble trak, rod floor, and in-ground trampoline all feed into our loose foam pit. We boast two vault tables, elite uneven bars, elite balance beams, and two palmer spring floors. Our air-conditioned facility also includes a large multipurpose/dance room and a spacious lobby area for parents to watch all the fun!



Housing is available with VA Techniques team families for an additional $50. We will do our best to match your daughter with a gymnast of similar age and/or level.

The Holiday Inn is our host hotel for team camp.
